WUI (Writing under the influence)

Somebody once said we are all Americans, sometimes born in the wrong places.
On a warm autumn day in 1986, while enjoying beer with my college buddies,
I decided to join my new homeland.

I've come to appreciate the ideals that helped create this great country.
Liberalism, political-correctness, multiculturalism and moral equivalence
are destroying it.

No free lunch

Yes, old good times, when people in the US were happy just to be here.  Not enough anymore.  Now, they need to get a free lunch.
And of course, in Spanish.  Can't you even translate this correctly?  Let me help: "almuerzo gratis"

Ahmed (and his father) looking for 15 minutes of fame and attention:

VW trying to circumvent EPA's draconian regulations:

What is interesting is left's reactions:
1. Defend Ahmed at all costs.  Doesn't mater that he and his father probably did it for money too.  They have already received multiple offers of free college for Ahmed.  Doesn't matter that with the insane 0 tolerance in our public schools the reaction of teachers and cops were to be expected.  Kids have been suspended from schools for point finger-guns at each other.
2. Burn them at the stake!!!  No excuses.  The reaction is probably right if customers feel cheated because they bought those cars solely because of the emissions.  Of course, those customers are mostly morons who worship at the altar of the climate-change religion.  What happened to "Let's be more like Europeans?" or "Germans are such a progressive society; they do everything right?" Doesn't matter that all big trucks in the US are diesels with much worse emissions than those VWs.  Half of the engines in Europe are diesels.  If European health care is so good, why not European diesel engines.

Lastly, screw EPA.

Vote America

It would be wonderful to hear either a Republican presidential candidate at the Reagan Library [site of tomorrow's debate], or a Democratic presidential candidate at another event, present the arguments of Eisenhower and Reagan, or paraphrase the language of George Washington in his Farewell Address when he told his fellow countrymen that — before any other political identity — they should consider themselves first and foremost as Americans.

This is not a refugee crisis. This is a hijrah, a migration to Islamize a new land.

It is often said that a country can have a welfare state or it can have open borders, but it cannot have both. In a world in which billions of people live in poverty and oppression, this strikes me as blindingly obvious. I am not optimistic that the current migration from the Middle East, Asia and North Africa into Europe will end well.
Why is the left so easily duped?   Or is it?  Why does the left hate the West so much?
