WUI (Writing under the influence)

Somebody once said we are all Americans, sometimes born in the wrong places.
On a warm autumn day in 1986, while enjoying beer with my college buddies,
I decided to join my new homeland.

I've come to appreciate the ideals that helped create this great country.
Liberalism, political-correctness, multiculturalism and moral equivalence
are destroying it.

Quote of the day

Writing about the death of Keynesian economics and Krugman, Johan Goldber of National Review says this about my favorite continent:
"But liberals generally love to press their noses up against the glass of the social-democratic candy store that is Europe. Oh, the deliciously high taxes! The mouth-wateringly rich vacation times! The succulently egalitarian socialized medicine. The subsidized cheese that smells like urine and tastes like you wish it could be. The state-funded black-and-white movies with no discernible narrative that make insecure people feel smart for understanding and twisted people feel normal by being sexually aroused at all the right parts."

And he offer this useful advice:
"The next time some Krugman-worshipping yutz tells you how stupid you are about for opposing another kabillion-dollar boondoggle, you can just say, "Hey, hold on a second. I'm just agreeing with the French, the Germans, and the British. Why are you so provincial in your American exceptionalism?""

UPDATE: He wasn't writing about Krugman's death; just about Krugman and the death of Keynesian economics.

Well, you are just a car so I don't care

But, you were our first. My first son was born a few months before we bought you. So, I guess, I should be somewhat sentimental. Oh, crap, here I go....

The only reason I kept it so long was because one of my sons wanted to see what has to be one of the last analog odometers to turn all its digits at once.

Poker room (inspection) done

You want to play for real?

I'm glad Dims are laughing at O'Donell because they are so much smarter and more educated, especially when it comes to history and constitution. So she will lose. Too bad. The country will be worse for it. But the next time we have to debate those mental midgets, we will just ask them:

1. Tell me where in the constitution, does the federal government has the right to establish such a ponzi scheme as social security, medicare, etc?
2. Please show me where in the constitution does it say you have the right to kill your baby?

And, when they can't, we will just laugh at them.

So, do you morons know what happened in 1773?
