WUI (Writing under the influence)

Somebody once said we are all Americans, sometimes born in the wrong places.
On a warm autumn day in 1986, while enjoying beer with my college buddies,
I decided to join my new homeland.

I've come to appreciate the ideals that helped create this great country.
Liberalism, political-correctness, multiculturalism and moral equivalence
are destroying it.

Follow the money

Obama has wasted trillions of dollars on stupid green-energy projects. This is just one example. This green company has now to fire people because it lived off our money since 2010 but the money is running out thanks to Republicans in Congress. Normally, a company like this would just close the doors for good but these are also the same people who keep the Keystone pipeline, for example, from being build. Cheap, abundant energy from fossil fuels threatens their very existence. If they can't survive without our money, they shouldn't.

Public money

This story is depressing not because some union thugs ruined this auditorium. But because the auditorium was a multimillion dollar "investment" in our children. Same was as Solyndra and countless others were investments. They only help Obama's supporters and unions.

We spend so much money on public schools and for what? Just so unions vote for Democrats and keep the racket going.

Progressive Utopias

No matter how many examples you show them, they always say they can do it right. Of course, they can't, so they blame Conservatives.

From Political Diary:

In 1950, Detroit was the wealthiest city in America on a per capita income basis. Today, the Census Bureau reports that it is the nation's 2nd poorest major city, just "edging out" Cleveland.

Could it be pure coincidence that the decline occurred over the same period in which union power, the city government bureaucracy, taxes and business regulations all multiplied? While correlation is not causation, it is striking that the decline in per capita income is exactly what classical economists predict would occur when wage controls are imposed and taxes are increased.--Jarrett Skorup writing at michigancapitalconfidential.com on Feb. 14.

Ends always justify means on the secular left

So when a 3-judge panel strikes a law approved by the people of California, the left says it was a good decision because some things can't be put up to the popular plebiscite. But when a real, existing, undeniable right guaranteed by a real, existing, undeniable amendment in the real, existing constitution is being infringed upon, the left uses a poll to show that nothing else matters but the public opinion.

Apparently most Catholics think that employers should offer contraception for free and that's good enough for Obamaniacs, constitution and bill of rights be damned.

First, I don't care what Catholics think. There are Catholics who steal, lie, rape and kill; their religion still will tell them not to do so. I don't want to be forced to buy insurance put together by wants of spoiled Americans. I want to be able to choose what I want on a free market unregulated by stupid politicians.

More importantly, however, the church as an employer should be able to do whatever the hell it wants too even if that right wasn't enshrined in the constitution.

Good thing it is, though, because the left would have long ago destroyed it.

Santorum's triple win

I wonder why no analyst links these wins to the latest assault on religious freedom perpetrated by Obama. I know Gingrich is a converted Catholic but until recently he really hasn't lived his faith unlike Santorum. So this could easily have been a vote of protest. But if Santorum wins the whole thing, Obama could be in big trouble. Many Catholics would still vote for him; I know because some of my "friends" are Democrats and so called practicing Catholics. But many others would have hard time given the choice.
